"Imperfect people Serving a Perfect God"

There is a technique used in debate and argument known as "a fortiori". It means "with greater reason." And has been defined as "a phrase used in logic to denote an argument to the effect that because one ascertained fact exists, therefore another which is included in it or analogous to it and is less improbable, unusual, or surprising must also exist." An everyday example would be, "If a person is dead, then that person is not breathing."

We see examples of a fortiori in the Bible. Jesus used it- Luke 11:11 "If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Paul and the apostles used it- Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"

And now I will use it for our thought/challenge for the week- How many Christians are hiding behaviors or vices or habits or secrets or anything whatsoever from loved ones (parents, siblings, children, spouses, friends, coworkers etc.) because these secrets would hurt them, disappoint them, and break their hearts? I ask you this- How much more is your Heavenly Father's heart burdened by your "dirty little secrets?"
