"Imperfect people Serving a Perfect God"
Dateline: Minneapolis
Recently I chatted online with a brother-in-Christ in China. I met him before he moved there and have always considered him a friend. As we talked, he asked me (very tongue in cheek), "Have you built that mega church yet?" I answered, "Yup, only it extends into the streets of Minneapolis and cannot be contained by a building!" My friends this is the truth. The Lord is building His church today and He is including me in His work. I am watching His church extend into the street corners, alleyways, and off ramps. I have witnessed the expansion of His church into the places no one else will go. I have seen the true Church of Jesus Christ demolish strongholds in the hearts of lost souls, establish a new foundation, and build a new temple.
If you want to be a part of this church, you have to get your hands dirty. You have to work. You have to go. You have to be as uncomfortable (Come to think of it, how uncomfortable was it for our Holy God Jesus Christ to live among the depravity in this world and to suffer the way He did? What makes us think building His church should be easy?) It is a labor wrought by nothing other than the desire to please the Lord. This church does not bow to culture nor submit to bureaucracy, she serves only Jesus Christ. Bottom line- the prefix "mega" is too small to describe the Bride of Christ and I am so blessed to be a part of it.
