Today I prayed along the section of Franklin Avenue which borders the Ventura Village Neighborhood and is designated as The American Indian Cultural Corridor. It is interesting to note that many of the businesses located here are Somali owned and there is an African Immigrant center as well. So, we have the original inhabitants of this great land living and working alongside the newest immigrants.
This section of Franklin Ave. is a testament to community cooperation for urban renewal. I know that many American Indian Churches and Ministries have worked hard to establish housing and schools here, too.
I thanked God for the good work that has taken pace here and prayed for the Gospel to be preached to the people here- both indigenous and immigrant.
