News Hope Weekly 11/29/17

Well, here we are on the eve of December as another year closes before us... Praise God for bringing us through and blessing each one of us in so many ways. I still stand in awe that I can be thankful for the salvation God gave to a sinner like me. In all reality, Jesus seems so valuable and I so broken that I cannot fathom why He gave His life for me. And atop this, He invited me to do His work and abide in Him? What a wonderful Savior!

I am so thankful for His bride. This year has borne witness to the fact that He protects and provides for her. I am thankful for the Minneapolis Metal Church format that is reaching Gen X'ers, homeless people, and ex-convicts on-site and thousands of people online. I am thankful that the Holy Spirit guided me through my Th. D studies and has equipped me to be a better preacher of His Word. I am thankful that God provided opportunities for us to reach the lost in our community and that He has held our building strong and kept us safe within it. I am thankful that our church is a stronghold for Jesus Christ in a neighborhood that, at many times, seems to be anchored in sin. I am thankful for the members and supporters of our church who have been faithful through both the hills and the valleys and loved this church throughout the years.

I am especially thankful that I can honestly say that I believe that our best days as a church are still ahead of us.
