Dateline: In God we must... trust.
These days, trust seems to be a lost commodity. Employers manipulate employees in order to placate the best interests of the company. Parents abandon their duties as father and mother to pursue personal gain. Family members and friends betray one another publicly and privately. Politicians, police, teachers, doctors, clergy, even the church seem to have given into dishonesty and deception. Now, I know this is a slightly pessimistic view, but let's face it- it is also, unfortunately, all too accurate.
So, who can we trust?
Proverbs 3:5 says we can trust God. How much should we trust God? Proverbs 3:5 says with everything we've got.
I know I have trusted God with my vocation, education, marriage, finances, health, and yes- my life's path. Guess what? I can honestly say He has not let me down in ANY of these areas... not one. Lest I sound like "Mr. Piety" I will also readily testify that I have also leaned on my own understanding and guess what? I always let myself down; EVERY single time.
Yup, I am unashamed to admit that I need God. He doesn't need to earn my trust but I sure need to learn to trust Him more."All" is a big word, especially when we find it in the Bible. I need to trust God with ALL my heart and so do you, so do we.
