Imagine a family leaving California on a road trip to visit friends in New York. The first half of their trip is rather uneventful but while they are in the Chicago area, their car breaks down in the middle of the night. After some difficulty the services of a mechanic are secured and the car is repaired. What action does the family take now? Does the father drive back to California for a clean start on the trip? No, this would be sheer stupidity. What do they do? Of course, the family continues their journey from the place they broke down.
When you were saved, God set you on a course. For a while, your journey went fine but there came a time when you broke down... Perhaps by angry words, a wicked deed, or careless act. What should you do? You should immediately secure the services of the divine mechanic, The Holy Spirit... believe on the forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ and confess your sins. Now what? Go back to where you started? No! You need to get up from where you stalled and keep moving forward. Don't regress, move ahead. God has you in His hand and in His plans. Never forget that your journey is a one way trip- to heaven. Keep going! God will never leave you stranded or abandoned. If you are broken down today, call Him!
