Dateline: Minneapolis
I was at the grocery store one day and I saw a high school student wearing a letterman's jacket. The interesting thing was this student had so many accolades from sports and academics that the entire jacket (including both sleeves) was completely covered with trophy patches. The other interesting thing was the year on the jacket said '18 (meaning this young man still had a way to go before he graduates).
I was so impressed I had to comment and congratulate him and I told him he was going to need to sew another sleeve or two on his jacket in order to have more space for his accomplishments. I also told him that he should include a picture of his jacket with every college application he submits.
May our lives look like this jacket to Jesus. Overflowing with signs of service to the King of Kings and reflections of our dedication to Him.
