News Hope Weekly 12/2/15

As my son and I were preparing to leave the house on a warm November afternoon ("warm" for Minnesota as it was around 45 degrees),  I grabbed his jacket and began to usher him out the front door. He looked up at me and said, "Dad, I need my mittens, too." I responded by telling him that he wouldn't need mittens, just a coat.

Well, as soon as we got to the front porch he spoke again, "See dad, I told you. My hands are cold."

Isn't it good to know that our Heavenly Father does a better job of hearing our requests and knowing what we need than I (or any other parent) ever could? Rest assured, God knows exactly what you need and you will never have to tell Him something like, "See God I told you. My hands are cold."

Here is our prayer list for December 2015:

Pray for me as I continue doctoral studies and look ahead to dissertation work.

Praise God for the excellent, affordable and honest crew we found to to roof work on our Church building!

Pray for Christmas services in our churches to be full.

Pray for the city of Minneapolis to repent and be baptized.

Pray for glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, good will towards men.

I always take time off in December to recharge and refresh. Have a blessed Christmas and I will see you again in 2016 (or sooner should the Lord will).
