Dateline: Minneapolis
Thank you so much for your prayers! I had quite a few responses to last week'e prayer list and we have already seen definite answers to the prayers for our back to school party and for my preaching at the Labor Day retreat.
Our back to school party had many kids from the neighborhood (Somali and Hispanic kids there together and playing together which had been our goal) and some parents came and introduced themselves to me. One Somali- Muslim woman said she wasn't sure if they were welcome at our church and I assured her that they were indeed welcome. Praise God!
I preached 5 times at the retreat and everyone was very receptive to the messages. They asked me to come back and preach there again. Praise God!
You all are prayer warriors and our God hears your prayers. I can only imagine what will happen when He answers these requests, too- Pray for the people at New Hope Baptist Church to be used effectively by God for His harvest... Pray that I would be a living example of Acts 6:4.
