"Imperfect people Serving a Perfect God"
Dateline: Minneapolis
As I am searching for inspiration to write this week's newsletter, I see my son slink his way to the edge of the chaise in our living room and continue "slinking" until he "slinks" off the edge, headfirst until he is stuck at a 90 degree angle (head on the floor, body on the furniture). I immediately proceed to pick him up and "rescue" him from his predicament. Of course, since I am his daddy, I hold him in my arms for a minute or so... just long enough to realize how much I love to hold him in my arms, and set him gently down on his feet.
Any parent reading this already knows exactly what happened next- the "slinker" slinked right back up the chaise and did the same thing again... three times.
Any Christian reading this knows exactly how this situation metaphors our relationship to God.
Be blessed today.
