Rev. Rock Prayer Project 10/4/13

Today I spent my time praying on Lake Street. I went to the bustling heart of the city and asked God to give me fresh eyes and ears for the city and its people. I also was compelled to pray that I would be "God's kid" (I don't know why that name came to mind) and that He would help me see myself the way He sees me. Then I can seek correction and repentance where it is needed in my life. I prayed that the churches would be participants in the city and not just spectators. As I was caught up in the chaos of a Friday evening on Lake Street it was remarkable how prayer brings you into an audience of One with God and provides solitude. Even in the busiest places in the world.
