Rev. Rock Prayer Project 10/13/13

Today I prayed for Bill. I had to do a bit of "guerrilla ministry" as Bill was on a very busy, and hard to access, median near the chain of lakes in Minneapolis. There was no place to park so I could not walk up to him. Instead I kept driving around until I could time it just right and pull up to him as the light turned red (giving me ample time to talk). This situation was complicated by the fact that I drive a black and white 2008 Police Interceptor and Bill moved as I drove around; I learned that he recently received a citation for panhandling and perhaps he was trying to avoid getting another. Bill is not homeless... yet. He lives in section 8 housing and was told his month to month lease will not be renewed next month. He has no children but lives with his girlfriend, her mother, and their dog. He asked for prayer for a new place to live. He was very appreciative for the meal and the ministry. Please pray for Bill. The photo shows Bill standing on the corner among the many Sunday afternoon drivers near Lake Calhoun. Also big thanks to Lela for the food donations for the ministry!
