"An Imperfect People Serving a Perfect God"

Dateline: Phillips West

With all the recent tragedies and threats to our security that have occurred, you may be wondering if this world is "safe" anymore. Believe me, as a father of a two-year-old, the thought crosses my mind on a regular basis. Our civilization has gone from needing 10 Commandments carved into stone by the finger of our Creator to a people needing new laws on a perpetual basis. We now regulate everything from the 1's and 0's in cyberspace to the global ecology and beyond (and everything in between). Yet somehow evil still persists...

It may seem like evil is everywhere these days but I must remind you that the Holy Bible does not teach dualism. More specifically, only God (and God alone) is everywhere. He is everywhere all the time.

Psalm 139: 7 Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, You are there. 9 If I live at the eastern horizon or settle at the western limits,10 even there Your hand will lead me;
Your right hand will hold on to me.

We know that this world is not safe. We also know that God sent His son to provide a place of eternal security for those who believe in Him . It is the most important thing God has ever done. Sometimes we need to remember what He has done rather than wondering what he will do.

God is all around you right now. Love Him with all your heart.
