"When the spaceship mariner 2 completed its 36 million mile journey towards Venus, it made headlines. Its predecessor, mariner 1, was just as perfectly equipped in every way as Mariner 2. However, mariner 1went off course and ended up tens of thousands of miles off the mark because someone had forgotten a hyphen when setting its coordinates prior to launch…. So, one little electronic impulse cost millions of dollars and 2 year delay; not to mention sending mariner 1 WAY off its purpose and path, and lost forever."
Saul of Tarsus was a pious Jewish man (perhaps the most pious the world had ever seen) but his purpose and path were off by a hyphen- he needed the cross to become the Apostle Paul.
Without the cross, like mariner 1, we are forever lost.
