News Hope Weekly 10/26/16

In his book "There Has To Be An Answer" author Trevor Smith recalls a young pastor who wore a large name tag everywhere he went. The name tag read "B.P.W.M.G.N.F.W.M.Y."

The author uses this story to describe the process of maturation in a Christian's life. This really hit me hard because the Lord has revealed to me that the changes He desires in my life/attitude/behavior cannot be accomplished by my own power.... I need Him to change me. Anything else would soon become a futile religious exercise.

The letters on the pastor's name tag are an acronym for "Be patient with me, God's not finished with me yet"

Every Christian ought to understand that we are all works in progress. Have patience with our brothers and sisters. Have patience with yourself. Have patience with your pastor. God is not finished with you, your church, or me. So I humbly ask that you would consider the thought behind the name tag and "B.P.W.M.G.N.F.W.M.Y." I will certainly do unto others as well.
