Although my degree will be a PhD in Biblical Preaching, I chose a unique topic for my dissertation work. It is titled "From Hell to Hallelujah: The Surprising Impact of the Bible and Christianity on Rock Music" and focuses on musicians and singers who have become born again Christians after achieving success in the realm of secular music (perhaps two of the most well-known examples would be Alice Cooper and Johnny Cash).
So, I have a question for all of you, a question that will certainly be helpful as I press on in this research.
Do you have a favorite band/singer/musician who has become a born again Christian?
Now, I do realize this is a bit of a tricky question because anyone who has only released Christian music has also, by definition, been born again. But I am specifically thinking of those who started off in the public eye "lost" and become "found" after they were famous. Any genre of music is acceptable and any time period as well.
