Dateline: 21st Century Academia
My first doctoral class was specifically designed to teach the student how to write a dissertation or research project ( I believe it was also designed to give us a bit of a reality check and put a bit of fear into us- rightly so considering the workload required for this degree).
The course I registered for was called "RW 800- Research Within a Christian Worldview" in the catalog but the first thing the professor told us during the actual class was that the name of the course had been changed to "Research within a Biblical Christian Worldview."
The professor then elaborated and explained the reason for the name change, "Biblical" must be added to "Christian" in order to define it as such in the USA. Because there are too many versions of 'Christianity'."
So I began to think, "By which definition of Christianity an I living my life?"...This is the question I ask all of you to consider this week.
