Here is our prayer list for February 2015-
Pray for me as I finish school this month (MA in Pulpit Communication and Expository Preaching). I am certainly going to miss my classes and professors but I am that God led me to take this course. The Lord has definitely used this this degree to better equip me to preach His Word and I am on fire to preach it. It was a nerve-wracking and humbling experience to turn in sermons for grading (especially since I have been preaching for more than 10 years) but the Lord blessed my all my work! I will be continuing to study in a program that is on-on-one with a great preacher who has taken me "under his wing." As far as conventional academia, that may be behind me now.
Pray for Marion as she is coming to New Hope this Sunday to lead us in a traditional hymn worship service. Marion is a gifted organ player and she will take requests during the service. So, if you wants to come and sing "oldies but goodies" this is your chance. The service starts at 7:15PM this Sunday (2/8/15).
Pray for Cory and the Isaiah Connection trip to Molokai this month. Pray that God would make a huge impact on the missionaries and the mission field.
Pray for me as I prepare a message to preach at Southtown Baptist on Feb. 22.
Pray for God to bless my personal witness and evangelism to people I know and people I meet.
Pray for God to grow New Hope Baptist Church.
