Rev. Rock Prayer Project 5/18/14

Today I prayed at 2524 Portland Ave. South in Minneapolis. This has been a problem property in our neighborhood for decades. Matter of fact, its owner is the arch nemesis of many a police officer. The building was vacated by a fire in March 2014 but has since been taken over by squatters who participate in drug dealing and prostitution. This house also happens to be directly behind our church property and many johns and junkies go through the church lot to get their fix. Our church property is also home to 2 basketball hoops and a playground used by all the children in the neighborhood. I need not elaborate on the fact that criminal activity and children do not mix. Please pray for divine intervention on this property and for safety for all the kids and families near it.
