News Hope Weekly 3/26/14

"Imperfect people Serving a perfect God."

     Dateline: Minneapolis

In my continuing quest to become a better preacher (driven by diligent study of God's Word directly, heeding advice from fellow preachers, studying the sermons of others, and reading antique books on the subject- my current book is from 1870), I am noticing personal growth daily. The TV is off more often and the Bible is open more often. The Lord is speaking to me through the Bible and the Holy Spirit... I even had a dream on Sunday night in which I was writing in my journal "pray more" on every page (I started praying more the very next day). Plus, I am finding gems of information to share with others from the old textbooks. I hope this will give you all strength and encouragement today.

"Christ did not come to make life easy but to make men strong. In hundreds of foxholes & dugouts. In blackout rooms & sick bays. In Higgins boats & Jeeps. I have come to a strange conclusion- Men with Christian faith are able to hope and men without faith are not." - unknown Naval officer.

So let me ask you one question; Do you have hope?
