"Imperfect people Serving a Perfect God"

    Dateline: Phillips West

The season is upon us. What season? Apparently not summer, my still running furnace can attest to that. No it is graduation season. We are so thankful for Katie and her success at Missionshift Institute (way to go Katie!). By the way, the students at that school are on fire for the Lord. I was very impressed and moved by the ministry presentations I saw them give at the graduation ceremony last week.

Kyle, our Wednesday night ministry partner, will be graduating from Bethel University in a matter of days (Go Kyle!). This is especially awesome as our church saw Kyle's older brother Matt go from teenager to college grad and now we saw Kyle do it too! what a blessing and inspiration this family has been to our neighborhood.

I strongly believe that we are entering into a new era of discipleship as the church now has direct access to school curriculum. We have MissionShift Institute right here in South Minneapolis and the CLD programs of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and now Golden Gate Baptist Seminary available to anyone with a computer. Plus, there are now 4 classes available for individuals and churches to take as we work together to become better equipped to serve our perfect God. These classes are: Grasping God's Word, The Biblical Basis of Teamwork, Lead Like Jesus, and Real Life DiscipleshIip.

In the 8 years I have been working in the ministry I have constantly heard pastor's and church leaders stress the need for discipleship in the modern church. Guess what. God heard that lament and has given us the opportunities to grow. Let us work together to pray for the students and faculty involved in these exciting new iron sharpening tools we have been given.

By the way, if you or your church is interested in getting involved in personal growth. Let me know.
