"Passionately Seeking & Speaking the Love of Jesus Christ"

Dateline: Phillips West

There is an old saying thast goes, "There but by the grace of God, go I." It is used whenever someone encounters another person's misfortune. Unfiortunately, too many Christians are living as though this saying should be applied whenever we hear the stories of missionaries in the harvest field. We hear about their trials and think to ourselves, "There but by the grace of God, go I" as though the Lord has not also called us to "go" in His Holy Bible. I suggest the next time you hear the story of a missionary (or place in need of a missionary) you say to yourself, "There, by the grace of God, I go!"

Here is our prayer list for February 2013:

Pray for the Isaiah Connection Mission trip to Molokai Feb. 17-23. Our very own Charlie Ogdahl will be going on this trip, too! Pray for the team to make a great impact for Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Phillips West Winter Social. It will take place Feb. 7 and we will be there handing out gifts from the church and representing Christ's bride in our neighborhood.

Pray for our city. Bottom line- people here need Jesus.

Pray for me as I set out on a quest to find a lighted sign that says "Jesus Saves." I keep seeing them in old movies and TV from the 70's and 80's but I have not seen one in Minneapolis in a long time. I think we could use one now.

Pray for Jeff Rader as he begins a new role at the church; Director of Youth. It is a volunteer position with much responsibilty and opportunity to reach lost young ones here in the city.
