"Passionately Seeking & Speaking the Love of Jesus Christ"
Dateline: Phillips West
As we approach the Labor Day weekend, I can't help but reflect on the summer that was 2012. Sure it was hot (perhaps the hottest ever in Minneapolis) and somehow, still too short. In spite of the heat and brevity, we still managed to see God work in mighty ways and be blessed by His mercy and grace for the people of our beloved city of lakes.
We saw His people come together to build a playground in the churchyard, paint the exterior of the church building, and work together to make the church property a safe and inviting place for children and families in the neighborhood.
We had our largest turnouts yet for VBS (twice) and the outdoor sanctuary (including a few "standing room only" services). God also answered our prayers by withholding an certain thunderstorm so that our outdoor concert would be dry (with the exception of the 5 people baptized).
God blessed our dedication to education as we held the first ever graduation ceremony for MBTS students on a beautiful June afternoon and He lifted us up as we served in the largest National Night Out ever held... anywhere.
There is no God like Jehovah.
