Big congratulations to Jeff Rader and big thanks to everyone who took part in the graduation ceremony last Sunday at New Hope Baptist!
A few years ago I started to focus on post secondary education in our church. This is an internal and external focus done by encouraging members to pursue further education and by seeking to work with ministry partners enrolled in local schools. So far, we have since seen 6 members graduate from The School of Urban Ministry, 2 graduate from Midwestern (congrats again, Jeff), 1 member and 1 ministry partner graduate from North Central, 2 ministry partners graduate from Normandale, and 1 member graduate from Job Corps.
Every time someone graduates, we take a picture, frame it and display it in the church entryway (it is our "wall of knowledge.") This is a great witness to our neighborhood and our city. I am so proud of all our grads!!!
This past Sunday was an example of all these ideas working together as we were blessed to host the graduation ceremony and party right in the churchyard.
